A Reading Alternative

Hi there, we are the primary PHI 105 instructors.

You likely have one of us as your instructor for your PHI 105 class. These podcast episodes were created through collaboration with other PHI 105 instructors. Together, we have worked to provide a supplemental resource for the course. This can be especially helpful for those with long commutes, those who need an occasional break from a bright screen or reading, or for those who want to both hit and gym and dig into their classwork. We have even had a few students tell us they have had them on while settling their kids into bed. They are made to make your learning experience a little less cumbersome. Utilize them however you wish.

Additional information: Originally, the first two episodes were instructor made during our "spare" time and are of our own initiative. They are short (10-30 minutes), not fancy, and sometimes even a bit thrown together. We are learning this whole podcasting thing as we go. More recently, we have enlisted the help of generative AI to help us generate more podcasts for you all at a quicker rate.

As a disclaimer, there may be statements within episodes you personally disagree with. It could be, too, that there is an occasional misstatement. These are far from perfect. They are intended to explore a concept reviewed in class in a bit more depth as well as open up additional opportunities for reflection and discussion in our HALO classroom.

Enjoy!
